Since my university days, I had many questions (and frustrations) about how to make the short films and features made in my country more visible to the people living in our shared space and time—especially to those of us who hadn’t had the chance to discover films beyond the mainstream.
After deepening my studies in film circulation and conducting extensive research, I decided to take a leap into distribution and explore new paths for exhibition.
That’s how I began working with short films addressing social issues such as women’s and LGBTQI+ rights— regardless of their premiere status.
What mattered most to me was collaborating with people at the beginning of their careers and embracing the challenge of connecting with their work, understanding the themes they explored, and identifying which territories or communities might be experiencing similar realities.
Here you’ll find some of the projects I’ve collaborated on.
